Metal crucifix rosaries…

Metal crucifix rosaries are now available! It took time to find a supplier of metal crucifixes, but I finally found one that complements the natural olive wood beads. Both crucifixes were made in Italy and have Jerusalem engraved on the back of the crucifix. Such lovely additions to my olive wood rosary selection. Catholic Wedding Gift Idea!

My ‘Love scripture verse’ card is simple yet beautiful, very similar to my olive wood rosaries. This rosary gift set would make a lovely wedding gift for a Catholic couple. There are so many things to love about olive wood. Olive wood is hard, heavy, and strong. What a great material for handmade rosaries! There is such a variety of wood grain in a container of olive wood beads. When I sit down to make olive wood rosaries, I sort through the beads and select beads that complement each other. As an artist, I want to create a rosary that is as beautiful to look at as it is functional to pray with. Hence the reason for my double cords through each bead as it allows for more stability and durability.

This five decade rosary is made with 8mm olive wood beads and an olive wood cross. Two brown nylon cords are strung in between each bead, resulting in durable and strong construction with tight barrel knots.
